Father in Heaven
where every mind is rigid
and male mind is libid
where nothing makes sense
and yet people take offense
take me away my father
please take me away

where women are obsessed with toe nails
and squirells with polishing their tails
where shoes shine like black gold
and you believe what your are told
take me away my father

where entertainment keeps your busy
and leisure becomes work for sissy
where poems like these will be written
to be read by this or that chicken
take me away my father

where parents can be gay my brother
and father can be the mother
though all this time I did rather
that you must be my father
please take me away!

Motherhood of the Future?
The modernists ask, is the nature of womanhood as you know it due to a natural choice by women, as if it is inherent to them. or ... is it because of the man-woman equation in the society of earlier times?

if women had the choice to do what men did and the men were not ashamed to do what women did , would you have a different view of feminity and the word motherhood replaced by parenthood or even fatherhood?

so the natural question in the current world appears to be, what is replacing the motherhood of earlier times?, is it lost?, is it being shared and created and nurtured by partners? (right of same sex partners to nurture is causing a whoaaaa-le new furore, to put it mildly :))

these are questions that must be added to LL's (is woman defined by the stereotype of _what_we_know_her_as_) to seek a personal resolution to the question.

My own take is: I don't think there is one answer. To me it is a transitory phase of the society where we cannot end up with the other extreme of women throwing in the towel and let men take over parenting, but a gradual change in responsibility that progresses with necessary change in perception. This is probably what we see as happening in most of the "modern" world too.

But then again, who can say if all this is progress? I look forward to learning more from this group than what I have expressed here. The blog is not placing woman as synonymous with mother but merely delving on the aspect of motherhood.

My vague feeling is that: The role of parenting in a way ties to the underlying stability and character of a moral society. One which would have the character and courage to cut at immoral ways that prevail in all social contracts like corruption.

Bake Ball
Its party time! Everybody on the dance floor! Oh how smooth they move like it is not dance floor but butter! With our band of hep dudes Al'Pupas Flo' and their cousin band Bakin'Powda on the floor, playing 'how I loved to be baked ... '. The center of attraction remained the three sexy Eggies, oval shaped and doing the turn-like-a-top dance out of step with the music. This was the night of games. Salt had been waiting for this opportunity to get back at sugar who was now going out with baking soda, ex of salt. Baking soda had left him, saying no man worth his salt would stay with a worthless man like him. You see the salt was in his prime at a quarter teaspoon and baking soda at half-a-teaspoon. Salt felt very injured losing to sugar, a half cup old man.

While all this drama was going on in the ball, there was great dilemma and confusion in the minds of the Masters. They were not sure they had created the best of the lot. Yoda went, "It is best to create one super being than many worthless beings who are petty and do not have a sense of purpose in life, especially someone like all Purpose flour who had no focus and espoused just about any purpose as his own." The Masters decided it was time. And that fateful night, hell broke loose on the ball!

A heavy rain of butter milk came upon the dance floor. Chaos ensued and all started to melt and mix with each other. Masters realised worthy made from unworthy needs something special and released their favorite cupid's portion vannilla extract and grated lemon zest into the universe along with the buttermilk rain. Then struck the most massive of lightning and the universe was baked in extraordinarily high temperatures. Then there was stunning calm as the universe cooled down. After a few hours, that seemed like aeons, out came 6 cutie lemon pies and the Masters were pleased.
